Learn how to make your own jewellery using different goldsmithing and stone setting techniques
On Saturdays, we will make a piece of jewelry out of silver and/or copper set with precious gemstones in our workshop. You are going to learn different goldsmithing and stone setting techniques to make your own unique piece.
You can choose between making copper and/or silver earrings, a pendant or ring.
Course Overview

We do not offer courses in Zechin between December and March.
There might be no classes on a particular Saturday if an individual class has been booked on that day. Please get in touch or visit our course calendar to check the availability.
Course times: 11:00AM – 4:00PM (CET)
Refreshments and snacks will be available for you. You’ll also have flexible break times built in to ensure you can step away as needed.
You need to book your space at least one week in advance.

Level: Beginner
There is no prior knowledge required. If you have previous experience you will be able to develop and extend your knowledge and skills.
Location: Our Workshop in Zechin.
Zechin is a small village in the beautiful “Oderbruch” area about 1 hour from Berlin.
This area is famous for its wide landscape, lakes, and vegetable and fruit cultivation.
It is a perfect spot to relax and have a break from busy city life.
Price: The silver & gems required will be provided and charged in addition to the course fees. The costs are based on the current market price.

What will you learn?
This course aims to teach you a range of jewellery manufacturing skills and how to set gemstones.
You will learn the basic skills of gemstone setting, disk cutting, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, soldering, and polishing. You can create either a pendant or a ring.
What will you need to bring?
We will supply all the tools and equipment needed for jewellery making.
The materials are not included in this course. But you can purchase silver sheet, silver wire, gems, and saw blades from your tutor.
For health and safety reasons, please wear closed shoes. Long hair has to be tied back.
