Learn how to make your own jewellery using different goldsmithing and stone setting techniques

On Saturdays, we will make a piece of jewelry out of silver and/or copper set with precious gemstones in our workshop. You are going to learn different goldsmithing and stone setting techniques to make your own unique piece.

You can choose between making copper and/or silver earrings, a pendant or ring.

 

Course Overview

Please book at least one week in advance of the course date.

There might be no classes on a particular Saturday if an individual class has been booked on that day. Please get in touch to check the availability.

 

Course times: Saturdays, 11:00AM – 5:00PM (CET)

You need to book your space at least one week in advance.

We do not offer courses between December and March.

 

Level: Beginner

There is no prior knowledge required. If you have previous experience you will be able to develop and extend your knowledge and skills.

 

Location: Our Workshop in Zechin.

Zechin is a small village in the beautiful “Oderbruch” area about 1 hour from Berlin.

This area is famous for its wide landscape, lakes, and vegetable and fruit cultivation.

It is a perfect spot to relax and have a break from busy city life.

What will you learn?

This course aims to teach you a range of jewellery manufacturing skills and how to set gemstones.

You will learn the basic skills of gemstone setting, disk cutting, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, soldering, and polishing. You can create either a pendant or a ring.

 

What will you need to bring?

We will supply all the tools and equipment needed for jewellery making.

The materials are not included in this course. But you can purchase silver sheet, silver wire, gems, and saw blades from your tutor.

For health and safety reasons, please wear closed shoes. Long hair has to be tied back.
