1.1 Material List
This is a list of the tools I am using when designing and illustrating jewellery.I chose certain products as they are readily available in Germany and the UK, the two places where I spend most of my time. Also, I tried different materials over the years. But I keep on coming back to these tools that I have been using for many years.
Feel free to use brands you are already familiar with or just experiment with tools and learn what works best for you.
✓ Colour Chart & Coloured Pencils

► I am a big fan of Faber-Castell Polychromos. But feel free to try different coloured pencils.
✓ Pencil Sharpener & Lead Pointer
► A lead pointer is the sharpener we use for the mechanical pencil.
✓ Mechanical Pencil & Lead
► Any mechanical pencil for 2mm lead works.
► 2mm 2H lead
✓ Removable Tape
► I usually use Scotch Magic Tape but there are also other brands available.
✓ Ink Pen & White Ink

✓ Pencil Sharpener & Lead Pointer
► Any mechanical pencil for 2mm lead works.
► 2mm 2H lead

✓ White Gouache, Pipette & 000 Brush
► Winsor & Newton Gouache “Permanent White” works best in my opinion.
► The pipette can be made of glass or plastic
► I use different brands but always full synthetic brushes.
✓ Coloured Paper
► Generally, I use medium to dark grey paper as it is neutral. Blue and dark brown also works well.
Important: The paper needs to be smooth without texture and thin enough for printing.
