Come and join us on the 29th of September 2024 to learn how to make jewellery with precious gems.
In this workshop, we will make a piece of jewelry out of silver and/or Copper with a bezel-set gem. We will start by making a simple but unique ring or pendant. Then you can choose from a range of gemstones and learn how to set them in your jewellery piece. Please note that the ring in the image has been made in this course and our course “Jewellery & Nature”.

Level: Beginner
There is no prior knowledge required. If you have previous experience you will be able to develop and extend your knowledge and skills.
Location: Our Workshop in Zechin.
Zechin is a small village in the beautiful “Oderbruch” area about 1 hour from Berlin.
This area is famous for its wide landscape, lakes, and vegetable and fruit cultivation.
It is a perfect spot to relax and have a break from busy city life.

What will you learn?
This course aims to teach you a range of jewellery manufacturing skills and how to bezel-set gemstones.
You will learn the basic skills of gemstone setting (bezel), disk cutting, filing, drilling, texturing, annealing, soldering and polishing. You can create either a pendant or a ring.
What will you need to bring?
We will supply all the tools and equipment needed for jewellery making.
The materials are not included in this course. But you can purchase silver sheet, silver wire, gems and saw blades from your tutor.
For health and safety reasons, please wear closed shoes. Long hair has to be tied back.
